Was ist in letzter Zeit bei Delta Church passiert?? Hier finden Sie relevante Neuigkeiten:
Galatians 3:26-4:7. Who am I? This is the question of identity and it's the question Paul takes up next in his letter. Their justification rests in Christ alone, thus they are 'in Christ.' This is their new identity and as a result Paul wants them to know two key truths concerning their identity: they are heirs and they are sons.
Galatians 3:15-25. Paul has repeatedly told us that justification is by faith in Christ and not the law. He now addresses the unavoidable question, "So what's the purpsose of God's law?" What we discover is that there is a glorious gospel magnifying relationship between the law of God and the promises of God. By God's design the law is the on-ramp to the gospel highway.
Galatians 3:6-14. Relentless in his pursuit of re-anchroing the Galatians in the truth of the gospel, Paul refuses to release his grip on the good news of justification by faith. Starting in these verses he rounds the corner and begins to prove from the OT that the blessing of Abraham is the blessing of justification by faith. Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness and it is those of faith, who believe God like Abraham, that are blessed by God (justified) and redeemed from the curse of the law. This is good news for you and me!
Acts 13:1-12. There is a proper motivation for being an intentional witness; it's beholding the glory of the grace-giving God. But equally as important for being an intentional witness is the necessary power of the Holy Spirit. That's why the biblical model for being an intentional witness looks like this: the people of God, bearing witness to the Son of God, empowered by the Spirit of God.
Isaiah 6:1-8. Everyday people who intentionally bring Jesus into everyday life. This is the call on those who've been saved by the grace of God. But as we all know, being intentional about being intentional can be a struggle. So for disciples of Jesus, where does proper motivation come for being an intentional witness for Jesus? Isaiah shows from his experience that it comes from beholding the glory of the grace-giving God.
Galatians 3:1-5. Question: How do we grow in our Christian life? The Galatians had begun to believe the answer was--"in our own strength." But this is conduct not in step with the good news of justification. Paul knows that we are not only justified by faith in Christ, but we are also sanctified by faith in Christ. From beginning to end, the Christian life never moves beyond Jesus Christ crucified.
Galatians 2:15-21. How can a righteous God accept an unrighteous person like me? What question could possibly be more important than this? Paul says the answer to this question is the gospel of justification by faith in Christ.
Galatians 2:11-16. It's the tension we've all felt…gospel belief failing to translate into gospel behavior. It's those areas of life where our conduct is out of step with the gospel we believe. This can happen for all sorts of reasons, but at least one reason is the fear of man which produces people-pleasing hypocrisy. Paul tells us the solution to hypocrisy is a return to the gospel: the good news of our justification by faith in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 2:1-10. Gospel unity is crucial. In Paul's day as in ours there will always be distortions to the gospel. There will be those who seek to divide what the grace of God unites. For this reason Paul reminds us that gospel unity is to be protected so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.
Galatians 1:10-24. God's grace is truly amazing. Not only are we be saved by grace but we are transformed by grace as well. And the design of God's grace in your life is His glory. Paul's life was evidence of this fact. God's gospel of grace transforms people for God's glory.
Galatians 1:1-9. The word 'gospel' means good news and the good news of the gospel is that grace and peace from God is found in Jesus Christ who gave himself for our sins. This is the gospel: Jesus + Nothing = My only hope of salvation. To tweak this gospel formula results in a distortion that is no gospel at all. Paul calls the Galatians and us back to the purity of God's grace found in Jesus Christ alone.
Titus 2:11-14; Proverbs 24:11-12. The good news of God's grace is quite amazing. Not only are sinners saved by grace, but they are trained by grace as well. So once God has caused us to be born again the effect of His grace is that it produces a people zealous for good works. The purpose in this sermon was to see that the good news of grace compels the good work of defending the preborn.
Cool
great message this Sunday
Psalm 19:1-14. God's perfect Word. It restores the soul, makes wise the simple, rejoices the heart, and enlightens the eyes. In short, the Word of God re-aligns our wandering hearts back to God.
Reminder: church is on! See you there. 10 AM. Be safe as you travel in!
Ephesians 1:15-21. By God's power we are made alive by grace and sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. From that moment forward, life in Christ is a trajectory of growth as the Spirit of God teaches the truths of God when we pray.
